In this guide, we will discuss about the pros and cons of each avatar jar relative to each other in a specific faction and across the two factions.

Avatar Skills

Every Avatar Jar has a special skill which can be used by your character while in human form. This skill can be useful in PVP (e.g. Fish Jar skill) or in PVE when your character does not have maxed up skills at low level.

Justice Avatar Jars (귀자 정파항아리)

Tree Jar (목아의항아리)

Longest range (further than Ice Fish Jar)
Covers the largest top and bottom area
Highest target limits and overall DPS
Avatar skill covers a long range, deals 2 hits, tracks sometimes
Effects: Knock Back, Stun (Skill effects compliment each other)
Better than Ice Fish Jar at higher level (>150)

Ice Fish Jar (빙어의항아리)

Second longest range out of all justice jars
Covers a decent top and bottom area
Effects: Freeze
Avatar skill extremely useful in PVP if used correctly, deals 1 hit
Better than Wind Nymph Jar/Basic White Jar at low to mid level (1~140)

Wind Nymph Jar (풍매의항아리)

Shortest range out of all justice jars
Effects: Stun
Not good against ranged monsters, higher chance of receiving damage
Least popular out of all justice cash jars

Basic White Jar (백혼의항아리)

Longer range than Wind Nymph Jar, but shorter range than Ice Fish Jar.
Effects: Confusion (stuns monsters)
Avatar skill able to track characters in PVP / monsters in PVE, mid-range, deals 3 hits.
Sufficient for low level (1~110)

Chaos Avatar Jars (귀자 사파항아리)

Snake Spirit Jar (사귀의항아리)

Longest range out of all chaos jars
Extremely fast combos
Avatar skill covers a large range in PVP, deals 1 hit, no tracking
Effects: Deadly Poison, Stun
Better than Fire Moth Jar at higher level (>140)
Snake Jar skill lvl 90 is similar to Tree jar skill lvl 130, it deals 2 hits and also track enemies. It is better than Fire jar/Tree jar for early game (Info credits to Noru)

Fire Moth Jar (등아의항아리)

Longer range than Headstone Jar/Basic Black Jar
Very fast combos
Effects: Burn, Knock Back
Good for low to mid level (1~140)

Headstone Jar (귀석의항아리)

Short range (similar range as Basic Black Jar)
Effects: Stun, Knock Back
Not good against ranged and flying monsters, higher chance of receiving damage
Least popular out of all chaos cash jars

Basic Black Jar (흑혼의항아리)

Short range (similar range as Headstone Jar)
Effects: Blind
Sufficient for low level (1~100) but recommended to invest in a better jar ASAP

Faction-Specific Skills

For Justice and Chaos factions, it is recommended to use your faction's specific jars as each jar has a faction-specific skill.

If you use a jar of the opposite faction, you will still be able to unlock all the avatar jar's skills except for its faction-specific skill (This does not apply to EF classes, EF classes are able to utilise all the faction-specific skills of any jar).

EF Faction

For EF Faction, my preferred jar is still the Tree Jar (목아의항아리) as it has highest DPS, best skill effects (Stun & Knock Back compliments each other) which minimises monster contact with your character, and covers the largest range of attack out of all Justice and Chaos Avatar Jars.

I would rate Snake Spirit Jar (사귀의항아리) as the second best Avatar Jar for EF factions as it has the second highest range out of all avatar jars and good skill effects (Deadly Poison & Stun). Although this jar cannot minimise as much monster contact with your character as the Tree Jar due to the nature of its skill effects (Deadly Poison cancels out the effect of Stun), it is able to grind mobs down efficiently with its ability to execute extremely fast combos.

Lastly, the Ice Fish Jar (빙어의항아리) is the third best choice due its skill effect (Freeze) and range of skills.
