1. General Info

Equipment (weapons and armors) can be upgraded with bullions to increase their base stats. One bullion can be made from every 100 ores of the same type (e.g. 100 White Umkan Ores = 1 White Umkan Bullion). Ores can be obtained from mining in the Dusk Castle Stalactite Mines and converted to bullions via:
  • NPC Cave Miner -> [Process Ores]
  • [Refine Ore] button at the ETC section of your bag.


1. Upgrading equipment can be done before or after polishing / compounding, whether an equip is upgraded or not does not affect the success rate of polish or compounding.

2. Equipment upgrading is NOT a 100% success rate. On failure, your equipment won't be destroyed but one bullion will be consumed. You can do equipment upgrading as many times as you like until the equipment is upgraded.

3. FW compounding buff does not affect the success rate of equipment upgrading.

2. Materials Required
(Level = Level of equipment)


As you may have noticed by now, level 185 equipment cannot be upgraded with bullions. They can only be upgraded by a special red gem. To make the red gem, you will need to buy the recipe from NPC Book Merchant Alibaba (서점상알리바바) and right-click on the recipe in your bag to add it to your Creation Room. You will need to have the Creation Room activated before you can add the recipe.




To obtain Thor's Amulet, you will have to defeat him. It is not a 100% drop rate, similar to other zodiac bosses. Thor (뇌신) can be found at Black Hill 검은언덕 [8] .

(Thor is just a nickname used in KGO to refer to this zodiac boss)




Dragon Horn (용각) can be obtained from defeating Flame Dragon. This item has an extremely low drop rate. Flame Dragon (화룡) can be found at Ancient Dragon's Lair 숨은고룡의산, located in Ancient Dragon's Mountain 고룡의산 [3].

3. Equipment Upgrading

Click on the ETC section of your bag:





Place your ore and equipment in the designated slots and click perform.
